Currently in its final stages of production, the toolkit reflects LFMO’s commitment to culturally specific solutions for survivors and advocates addressing GBV within Métis people.
This toolkit is a comprehensive, culturally relevant, and strengths-based resource designed specifically to address the unique needs of Métis survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), offering tailored support strategies rooted in Métis cultural practices and trauma-informed care principles.
The toolkit offers practical resources and guidance for service providers working with Métis women and 2SLGBTQQIA+ individuals impacted by GBV, incorporating Métis-specific approaches to support healing, resilience, and recovery, and is nearing completion as a vital resource for both survivors and providers.
