Creating Safety for 2SLGBTQQIA+
This initiative seeks to address the lack of accessible resources for Métis 2SLGBTQQIA+ kin experiencing Gender-Based and Orientation-Based Violence by fostering connections through cultural gatherings and affirming experiences. A literature review on this issue aims to fill critical knowledge gaps and guide sensitive, inclusive research methodologies.
Recognizing the critical gaps in resources and support for Métis 2SLGBTQQIA+ kin affected by Gender-Based and Orientation-Based Violence, this initiative focuses on creating opportunities for connection, healing, and cultural affirmation.
Through meaningful gatherings and shared experiences, the project helps individuals access vital support systems and fosters a sense of belonging. To strengthen future research efforts, a comprehensive literature review is being conducted to address the significant lack of data and knowledge specific to this community. By ensuring culturally sensitive methodologies, this work aims to lay a robust foundation for advocacy and action.
