The sash features vibrant, bold colors to reflect the energy and spirit of youth. Blue symbolizes the life-giving power of water, purple honours the wisdom and strength of our Grandmothers, and white represents the guidance and wisdom of the Creator.
The word “Zheun” meaning “youth” in Michif, is a powerful reminder of the connection between generations and the importance of nurturing the next in line to carry forward our culture and traditions.
